“We hired AJH to complete a renovation back in 2016, and when we had the opportunity to build this past year, they were one of the first groups we talked to. We talked with a couple of other firms, some that quoted us less Per SF and many that quoted us way more per SF. At the end of the day we chose AJH because of their ability to design and construct our new home for us. The fact that they could handle the architecture allowed us to go through our design process with an eye on construction budget throughout. AJH was willing to work with us within our budget, where many groups we talked to had a package, style, or standard finishes that were "non-negotiable". AJH made it possible for us to select high end finishes where we wanted, and go with more budget friendly options in other areas. This is an underrated service in the home building industry these days. During the build process things went very smooth. Sure there were the typical schedule issues caused by weather etc. but AJH was always willing to answer any questions around the means and methods of the construction, as well as any schedule questions we had. Overall, it was a very well run project. The few punch list issues that did arise, AJH took initiative and addressed those issues very quickly - working in the construction industry I truly appreciated their efforts here as some times punch list items can really drag out it the project team is not intentional about getting them done quickly. Thanks to the team at AJH for making our dream home a reality!!”
